NVIDIA’s Live Sessions at CES 2024: GPUs Powering the AI Revolution

NVIDIA’s keynote at CES 2024 highlighted the company’s leadership in GPU technology and how it is fueling advancements in artificial intelligence. From gaming to content creation, NVIDIA is at the forefront of leveraging AI to transform experiences.

Began by tracing NVIDIA’s history in GPGPU technology, which enabled the performance breakthroughs that made today’s AI boom possible. “7 out of every 8 pixels is AI generated” Jeff Fisher claimed, referring to upscaling and frame generation in games through DLSS. This demonstrates how far we’ve come in just a few years regarding AI’s role in graphics.

An on-stage demo showed real-time AI interactions, impressively showcasing the power of NVIDIA GPUs. Does it really work that smoothly? I’m eager to try it out myself at NVIDIA’s exhibit. Making AI respond intelligently in real-time represents an enormous technical achievement.

Gaming remained a focus, with teasers for titles like Diablo IV with ray tracing support. NVIDIA’s collaborations with top gaming companies enable cutting-edge visuals. The newly announced RTX Remix is an exciting development – a modding tool that incorporates AI to upgrade textures and models. This could spark a modding renaissance!

For creators, NVIDIA is launching an AI text-to-image service using Getty’s image library. Refining images through upscaling while generating them is an innovative application of AI. Moreover, using Getty’s resources reduces legal risks.

On the hardware front, NVIDIA revealed the specs for new GPUs:

  • RTX 4080 SUPER
  • RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
