Xiaomi BE6500: Pushing Wi-Fi 7 Boundaries with Router Tech

Xiaomi Wi-Fi 7 BE6500 boasts impressive specifications that set it apart in the competitive router market. At its core, a quad-core A53 processor clocked at 1.1GHz delivers a robust 10120DMIPS of processing power. This computational muscle ensures smooth handling of complex networking tasks and multiple connected devices.

To maximize signal strength and coverage, Xiaomi has equipped the BE6500 with six high-gain Wi-Fi antennas. The array consists of two antennas for the 2.4GHz band and four for the 5GHz band, enabling optimal performance across different frequencies. Complementing this hardware is a generous 512MB of memory, facilitating efficient data management and routing.

The BE6500 features four 2.5G ports, catering to users with high-bandwidth requirements. These ports allow for lightning-fast local area network (LAN) transmissions, ideal for data-intensive applications and services.

Xiaomi’s BE6500 harnesses the power of the Wi-Fi 7 protocol, offering theoretical speeds of up to 6500Mbps.

One of the standout features of the BE6500 is its support for Multi-Link Operation (MLO) dual-band aggregation. This technology enables compatible Xiaomi Wi-Fi 7 phones to achieve connection speeds of up to 3.6Gbps, pushing the boundaries of mobile device connectivity.

Xiaomi has incorporated a one-click network setup for AIoT devices, streamlining the process of connecting smart home gadgets to the network. This feature underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to creating an ecosystem of interconnected devices.

While the BE6500 shares some similarities with its BE6500 Pro counterpart, there are notable differences. The standard BE6500 offers basic AIoT connectivity but lacks the central gateway and NFC capabilities found in the Pro model. Additionally, the design aesthetics differ between the two versions.
