Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 New Powerhouse Chips: Multi-Core Score Better Than Apple A16

Are you ready for a new Qualcomm 5G SoC to rock the market? Say hello to the latest from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with a single-core score of 2200 and a multi-core score of 7000 in Geekbench 6, it’s a force to be reckoned with, how does it stack up against the Apple A16? Let’s take a closer look.

The Apple A16 may have a higher single-core score of 2500, but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 makes up for it with a multi-core score surpassing the A16, in the GFX ES 3.1 test, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored an impressive 280fps, excellent GPU performance.

So, what makes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 so special? features a new 1+5+2 architecture design, with an ultra-large Cortex X4 core, five large Cortex A720 cores, and two small Cortex A520 cores, means that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has one more performance core and one less small core compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

At new Adreno 830 GPU, which supports mobile ray tracing to create realistic lighting effects for a more immersive gaming experience. In other words, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can make virtual worlds look and feel more like the real things.

If you’re excited to get your hands on a smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, you won’t have to wait long, new processor will be unveiled at the Snapdragon Technology Summit on October 24th, with smartphones featuring the new chip to be released in November of this year. Xiaomi 14 series, vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 series, OnePlus 12, realme GT5 are among the first batch of models to include this powerhouse of a chip.
