Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5: The water drop hinge design Foldable Phones

The tech world is buzzing with rumors of Samsung’s upcoming flagship foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. It’s expected that they’ll be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul on July 26th. MySmartPrice has leaked official posters, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.

Exciting rumors is the water drop hinge design that could reduce the appearance of screen creases when unfolded and allow the phone to close flat. The folded device looks like it has less of a gap than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. And with a same durability rating, it’s clear that Samsung is upping their folding display game.

Water drop hinge technology is said to provide a seamless folding experience with a softer folding curve, improving the user’s viewing experience. And while this technology has been applied in China-made foldable phones before (OPPO Find N2 and vivo X Fold 2), we’re excited to see it in Samsung’s latest offering.
