Oppo Find N3 Foldable Phone Massive Camera Upgrade and New Design

The newly unveiled Oppo Find N3 foldable smartphone makes a striking first impression with its squared-off, angular design language and massive circular camera housing sporting Hasselblad branding. As a photography-focused flagship folding phone, the Find N3 packs camera technology that lives up to its premium looks.

Despite housing a large one-inch image sensor, Oppo has impressively kept the folded thickness of the Find N3 down to just 5.8mm. The wide-angle lens utilizes an innovative Sony LYTIA sensor that separates the photodiode and transistor layers to improve light capture and dynamic range.

Combined with the one-inch sensor size, Oppo claims the Find N3 achieves image quality on par with flagship camera phones across lighting conditions. Vibrant, detailed photos with rich dynamic range showcase the capabilities of the customized imaging hardware.

The 50MP telephoto and 48MP ultrawide sensors increased resolution for sharper images. Oppo also touts excellent portrait mode results powered by computational photography and lighting smarts.

Reviewing photos is also a treat on the Find N3’s 7.8-inch inner screen, 120Hz LTPO display provides ample canvas real estate to admire shots. Tapping the ProXDR button below images activates Oppo’s high dynamic range technology for vivid color and brightness.

My initial hands-on time proved portrait mode quickly becomes the default for capturing stunning results with ease. For both casual users and photography buffs, the Find N3 delivers versatile, flagship-level photography flourishes.

OPPO FIND N3

Beyond the cameras, the Find N3 impresses with its tough, fierce aesthetic that diverges from the cute rounded designs of past Find models. The inner and outer displays offer the same quality, with four speakers providing a spatial audio experience.

Flagship-level performance comes from a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor and standard 12GB RAM configuration. Battery charging maxes out at 67W wired, as Oppo dropped wireless charging in pursuit of the slimmer chassis.

Oppo Find N3 packs photography prowess and folding screen innovation into an attractive new angular design. While compromises like slower charging come with the compact form factor, the overall package looks highly competitive among premium foldable phones.

With Samsung Galaxy z fold 5 still dominating foldables, the Find N3 provides some welcome competition to accelerate innovation. By focusing on rich photographic capabilities, Oppo differentiates from Samsung’s multitasking-oriented approach.
