OnePlus Unveils Ace 3 (OnePlus 12R) with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Flagship Cameras

OnePlus has officially launched its latest OnePlus Ace 3 (OnePlus 12R), for the Chinese market. Pricing starts at 2599 yuan ($380) for a model packing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and upgrades across the board.

OnePlus Ace 3 features an attractive new design with a glass back and curved metal frame offered in black, blue, and gold. A high-brightness 1.5K OLED display measuring 6.7 inches diagonally headlines the front.

For photography, the Ace 3 includes a flagship-level 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS stabilization. An 8MP ultrawide angle lens and 2MP macro camera round out the versatile rear camera array.

OnePlus equips the phone with super-fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A large 5500mAh battery supports incredible 100W wired charging.

Additional highlights of the feature-packed Ace 3 include an in-display fingerprint reader, X-axis linear vibration motor, Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 5.3, stereo speakers, NFC for mobile payments, and an infrared blaster.

The latest ColorOS software based on Android 13 handles the user interface. OnePlus says this delivers a smooth, stable experience with enhanced privacy protections.

In China, the OnePlus Ace 3 starts at 2599 yuan ($380) for a config with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Higher-end variants with more memory and 1TB storage are also offered.

While the Ace series is currently limited to China and India, OnePlus often brings select models to other regions under different branding. The Ace 3 could launch as the OnePlus 12R 5G in additional Asian and European markets later this year.
