Apple Unveils Vision Pro: Launching February 2nd with Pre-Orders Starting January 19th

Apple has finally lifted the curtain on its highly anticipated Vision Pro headset, announcing that the spatial computing device will launch in the U.S. on February 2nd with pre-orders beginning January 19th. This marquee device represents Apple’s first foray into the mixed reality space, powered by an all-new visionOS platform. So when can consumers get their hands on this revolutionary piece of technology?

The Cupertino company revealed key Vision Pro availability details today, sharing that the headset would become available for purchase on February 2nd at Apple stores across the country, in addition to online ordering. Tech enthusiasts itching to be among the first owners of the Vision Pro can start placing pre-orders as early as January 19th at 5am PT.

Apple CEO Tim Cook touted the Vision Pro as the “most advanced consumer electronics device ever created,” with a “magical user interface” that will “redefine how we connect, create, and explore.” This is lofty praise, but not surprising given how anticipated this product launch has been.

So how much will this augmented reality magic cost? The Vision Pro is priced at $3,499 for the 256GB storage model. Apple also announced pricing details for additional Vision Pro accessories – the ZEISS Optical Inserts will cost $99 for readers and $149 for prescription lenses.

The Vision Pro package includes the Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band for adjustable fit, along with a Light Seal, Light Seal Cushions, Protective Cover, Polishing Cloth, Battery, Charging Cable and Power Adapter.

With pre-orders right around the corner, anticipation will be high among tech enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the chance to experience Apple’s vision for spatial computing. The Vision Pro headset promises to revolutionize how we interact with technology and visualize information. For those seeking the cutting edge of consumer electronics, mark your calendar for January 19th when the Vision Pro pre-order floodgates open.

This long-awaited device from Apple could usher in a new era of augmented reality and mixed reality. Are you excited to get your hands on the Vision Pro headset? What will be the first thing you look forward to trying with the spatial computing capabilities? Let us know on X @Gizmoweek!
