OPPO Unveils Find X7 Ultra with World’s First Dual Periscope Quad Camera Starting at 5,999 Yuan

OPPO has officially taken the wraps off their flagship Find X7 Ultra smartphone, which brings a sleek new glass and vegan leather design along with an impressive array of cutting-edge camera capabilities. Most notably, Find X7 Ultra debuts the world’s first dual periscope quad camera system, headlined by the new 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.

Dubbed the LYT-900, this massive 50MP 1-inch sensor touts a pixel size of 1.6μm and enables up to 11x greater dynamic range and 25% improved low light sensitivity compared to prior smartphone cameras, (Sony’s LYTIA brand expands with five new 50-megapixel sensors). Paired with a 50MP ultra-wide Sony IMX600 lens and dual 50MP periscope telephoto lenses (IMX890 at 65mm and IMX858 at 135mm), this camera array unlocks incredible versatility.

The Find X7 Ultra also elevates portrait photography through upgraded Hasselblad technology and OPPO’s new Ultra Vision Imaging Engine with Instant Dual Frame for 4x faster shutter speeds. Dynamic HDR previews also allow users to see HDR effects in real-time.

Beyond the cameras, the Find X7 Ultra sports a cutting-edge 2K display with 4500 nit peak brightness, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Dolby Vision. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the phone also touts a biomimetic haptic motor, IP68 rating, 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and enhanced antenna tech.

New software capabilities like on-device AI, roaming services and office collaboration further enhance the experience. A special Satellite Communications Edition arriving in March will even enable dual-mode satellite calling.

With this stacked spec sheet and extensive feature set, OPPO is positioning the Find X7 Ultra as the ultimate cutting-edge flagship for early 2024. The world-first periscope quad camera alone brings imaging capabilities that no other smartphone can currently match. Add to that the gorgeous display, blazing performance and useful software additions, and the Find X7 Ultra looks like a top-tier contender amongst Android flagships this year.

Priced starting at 5,999 yuan ($860USD) 12GB 256GB, OPPO Find X7 Ultra brings a ton of next-gen tech in a sleek package. Are you excited by the prospects of its 1-inch sensor quad camera setup? Share your thoughts on OPPO’s new photography powerhouse!
