Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Upgraded Flex Window durable hinge front screen at 3.6 inches

Samsung just unveiled a positively bonkers new clamshell phones. We’re talking about the groundbreaking Galaxy Z Flip 5, which debuted earlier today at Samsung’s Unpacked event in Seoul.

This audacious new phone flaunts a radical edge-to-edge foldable display, amped up cameras, and beefed up durability. Samsung even expanded the external cover screen into a handy “Flex Window.”

Arguably the most whiz-bang upgrade is the Z Flip 5’s seamless new hinge design. Samsung straight-up eliminated the gap between the foldable screen’s halves, delivering a continuous edge-to-edge display. We’re talkin’ no notch, no crease – just pure uninterrupted visual bliss!

And check this out – when closed, the newfangled hinge allows the Z Flip 5 to fold down to a wild 15.1mm thin. That’s bonkers compact for a foldable! Samsung also claims the dual-track hinge disperses impacts, keeping your display crisp and crack-free.

Popping open the Z Flip 5 reveals a dazzling 6.7” Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. You’ll dig on the buttery smooth adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate and vivid FHD+ resolution. Plus, Samsung says it’s their most durable foldable display ever, with newly added Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Meanwhile, the Z Flip 5’s external cover screen got a major upgrade – we’re talkin’ 3.4 inches of real estate versus just 1.9 inches on the Flip 4. Samsung’s calling this the “Flex Window,” and it can do way more than just preview notifications.

We’re talkin’ widgets, quick settings, chat/call logs, full keyboard for replying to texts – even Samsung Wallet for whipping out digital coupons, memberships cards, and more. Samsung’s really maximizin’ that external display!
