If the latest reports from Korean media are to be believed, Google’s got something special brewing for the upcoming Pixel 9 smartphone. Rumor has it the search giant is teaming up with Samsung to equip the Pixel 9 with the all-new Tensor G4 chipset, built on Samsung’s 4nm process.
For those not caught up on the latest lingo, that essentially means the Tensor G4 could be an absolute powerhouse in terms of performance and efficiency.
Tensor G4 will also leverage Samsung’s innovative FOWLP (Fan-Out Wafer-Level Packaging) technology. In layman’s terms, this bleeding-edge tech can help improve heat dissipation and power efficiency for the chipset.
With the Pixel 9 expected to drop in the latter half of 2024, there’s still some waiting to do before we see if Google and Samsung’s supposed mobile tech dream team pays off. But if they nail the execution, the Tensor G4 could help catapult the Pixel into a new stratosphere.
