MediaTek’s launches Dimensity 9200+ up 10% single-core score in GeekBench 6

MediaTek just dropped their latest and greatest flagship processor, the Dimensity 9200+, new chip builds upon last year’s Dimensity 9200 with some major upgrades that’ll have techies drooling. Devices packing the 9200+ will start hitting shelves next quarter, with iQOO’s Neo8 series leading the charge.

TSMC’s New 4nm Process and Speedy New Cores Give a Major Boost

MediaTek tapped TSMC’s new 4nm process tech for the 9200+, allowing ‘em to crank up the speeds on the performance, efficiency, and graphics cores big time. The performance super cores now hit a 3.35GHz, big core up from 3.05GHz, other-cores punch in at 2Ghz.

The 9200+ scored a 10% higher single-core score and 5% higher multi-core score in GeekBench 6 tests compared to its predecessor. The built-in Mali-G715 MC11 GPU also got a 17% faster speed, pushing graphics performance up by around 10% according to MediaTek. They’re touting an AnTuTu v9 score of 136,800 for the 9200+, making it the top 1 Android phones.

In Game performance are gonna love the 9200+! It still packs MediaTek’s HyperEngine 6.0 gaming enhancements, their MAGT adaptive control tech, and variable rate rendering for smooth visuals. The new MAGT tech specially optimizes power usage when gaming to boost battery life.
