Qualcomm launches Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 Mobile Platform

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ gen 2 mobile platform just got a major upgrade, added several advanced features previously only available in the Snapdragon 8+ series, providing an impressive boost in performance and security for mid-to-high-end smartphones.

Xiaomi and Redmi President Lu Weibing at the press conference, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will debut with the Snapdragon 7+ gen 2 chips, will be released this month, so consumers won’t have to wait long to experience the phones impressive performance and image capabilities.

Among the most notable features are support for 18-bit triple ISP, which allows for higher dynamic range and information volume, and 18-bit RAW domain processing, perfect for creating professional-level image experiences, the platform also now supports 4K computing HDR video shooting with triple exposure and simultaneous single-frame progressive HDR video capture with dual cameras.

New processor also boasts ultra-dark light shooting, enabling continuous capture of 30 frames of images that can be fused into a single, high-quality image, AutoVRS technology adapts to the game scene and applies VRS, reducing the GPU load and system power consumption. meanwhile, stereoscopic rendering creates more realistic smoke and particle effects in games, and AI super-resolution improves game resolution and overall picture quality.

Snapdragon 7+ gen 2 supports 5G+5G and 5G+4G dual SIM dual access for the first time on the Snapdragon 7 series, with FastConnect 6900 chips supporting Wi-Fi 6 and a maximum downlink rate of up to 3.6Gbps, Qualcomm company hypervisor execution environment providing vault-level security capabilities, manufacturers have a whole host of new options to develop even better mid-range price android phones.
