Bluetooth Broadcastin’ Bud: Samsung Amps Up Auracast Support

Samsung is taking their audio experiences up a notch with expanded Auracast capabilities, Samsung announced that their upcoming Galaxy S23, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 devices will now rock out to Bluetooth broadcasts.

Does this mean I can tune in to my favorite jams wherever I roam? You betcha! With Auracast activated on One UI 6.1 or higher, supported Galaxy gear can receive high-quality audio being pumped out by compatible speakers and emitters. No more missing out on the playlist just because you left your headphones at home.

Galaxy fans running One UI 5.1.1 and up can also get in on the listener action. Models like the S24, S23, Z Fold4, Z Flip4 and beyond can search for nearby Auracast streams using the “Listen to Auracast Broadcast” setting. Wondering what else supports spatial sound sharing? Select Neo QLED and QLED Samsung TVs joined the wireless party too.

It’s not just receiving tunes either – the Galaxy Buds audio switching perk now rocks out on Galaxy Book4 laptops. No more untangling who’s controlling the cans. Bluetooth SIG first spun Auracast in 2022 as a way for devices to broadcast audio without limit. Looks like Samsung wants everyone jamming out together!

So whether you’re hitting the town or hanging at home, more Galaxy gadgets than ever can tune into wireless wonder. Just enable Auracast on your plucky Samsung pal and see what’s playing in your area. Who knows, you might discover a new favorite song or DJ. The possibilities are endless – so don’t just stand there, start streaming!
