Google Set to Unleash Pixel Watch 2, Come with LTE and Wifi version

Google’s prepping to drop its next-gen Pixel Watch 2, a smartwatch sequel promising primo processing power, wireless wizardry, and extended endurance when it comes to battery life, its 306mAh battery outmuscles its predecessor, meaning longer life for your wearable companion.

Per insider chatter, the Pixel Watch 2 will flaunt the snappy Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 (Pixel Watch 2 Opts for Powerful New Snapdragon W5 platform, Promises Major Battery Boost), a 4nm chip packing quad cores cranking at 1.7GHz and an adrenaline-fueled Adreno 702 GPU. The pixel-pushing power promises a big boost over its predecessor’s Exynos 9110 silicon.

Another rad upgrade is the addition of ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity via an NXP SR100T module. UWB unlocks a wagonload of wireless wonders like locating misplaced devices, seamless access to UWB-secured cars, and hands-free jam sessions streaming music across your gadgets.

Stylish 1.2” circular OLED display also remains untouched at 384 x 384 pixels, but Samsung Display will apparently take over from BOE as the panel provider.

On the software side, the Pixel Watch 2 runs Wear OS 4 built on Android 13. Look forward to slick new dynamic themes and stealthy background updates for disruption-free system refreshes.

Google Wear OS 4

Rumor has it Google will come an LTE-capable Eos model alongside a Wi-Fi-only Aurora variant. No official word yet on the drop date or damage to your wallet, but signs point to a fall 2023 launch.

Pricing and availability remain mysteries for now, Google’s keeping its cards close to its chest, though. The release date and pricing details are still under wraps, but rumor has it the grand unveiling will happen in the second half of this year. Will Google’s sophomore smartwatch become the undisputed ruler of wristwear? Stay tuned Gizmoweek.
