Apple is revamping the color options for its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro lineup, according to recent reports. The gold finish will be discontinued and replaced by an all-new “Titan Gray” colorway.
Renderings of the iPhone 15 Pro in Titan Gray reveal a dark gray tone that appears subtler than the graphite and space black options. But it looks bolder than the existing silver/white offering.
For several generations now, Apple has introduced unique colors exclusively for the Pro models. Past examples include Midnight Green, Pacific Blue, Sierra Blue, and current Deep Purple.
Rumors suggest Deep Purple will make way for a new dark blue titanium finish on the iPhone 15 Pro. The dark blue will likely receive its own distinctive marketing name from Apple.
Meanwhile, the lower-end iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to come in a range of colors including black, green, blue, yellow, and pink.
With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple seems to be continuing the trend of premium and professional colorways to distinguish the top-tier models. The new Titan Gray should provide an understated but modern aesthetic.
Apple is widely rumored to unveil the iPhone 15 lineup, including Pro, Pro Max, Plus, and standard models, on September 12. Official announcement dates generally emerge in late August, so mark your calendars.
