Apple’s Vision for 2024: AR Takes Center Stage with Vision Pro Launch

2024 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Apple. According to the latest “Power On” newsletter by Mark Gurman, Apple’s major focus will shift from the iPhone to spearheading innovative wearables – Apple Vision Pro.

Slated for an early 2024 release, the Vision Pro aims to propel Apple’s next computing revolution, cementing augmented and virtual realities as indispensable tech. Gurman confirms that the Vision Pro is primed as Apple’s banner product of 2024, drawing comparisons to the Apple Watch. Like the Watch in its first years, early Vision Pro models may dazzle but fall short of expectations. But by version four, Apple believes their AR headset could profoundly impact how we interact, work, and play.

Apple Vision Pro

Apple retail stores are already making behind-the-scenes moves to showcase the Vision Pro says Gurman. The $3499 price tag reflects formidable capabilities cramming over 20 million pixels into micro-OLED 4K displays for both eyes.Though online pre-orders will be available, Apple expects most initial customers to purchase Vision Pro in physical stores with personalized appointments – even limiting early sales on United States.

With Vision Pro in the spotlight, Apple’s 2024 iPhone upgrades play second fiddle, sticking to minor updates. iPhone 16 will likely retain predecessor design with marginally bigger Pro screens while normal models gain the Action button introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Not one but two potentially game-changing health features are reportedly in development for the Apple Watch: long-rumored blood pressure tracking and sleep apnea detection. At minimum, we’ll see fresh Watch aesthetics in 2024 writes Gurman.

MacBooks and AirPods also make the 2024 product roadmap. Specifics remain unknown but anticipate iterative updates optimizing performance and functionality.

Apple’s Vision Pro could emerge as the next must-have device – the Vision Pro Experience we never knew we needed. Or it may fizzle, not quite ready to upturn our reality. But 2024 preparations make one thing clear: augmented and virtual realties represent Apple’s next frontier. With the Vision Pro as pilot, expect these immersive worlds to eventually reshape everything Apple as the iPhone’s dominance diminishes. The vision ahead looks pretty unreal!
