ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Wi-Fi 7 Gaming Router Up to 30Gbps Speeds

ASUS Republic of Gamers has revealed new details about its upcoming Wi-Fi 7 gaming router, the ROG Rapture GT-BE98. This powerful networking device will begin pre-sales on October 24th, touting cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and blazing multi-gigabit speeds.

Xiaomi Router 7000: Router Can Be Upgraded WiFi 7 Through OTA In The Future

Initially teased at CES 2023 earlier this year, the GT-BE98 aims to push wireless performance to new heights for gaming and high-bandwidth activities. It packs a 64-bit quad-core 2.6GHz processor and is equipped with two 10G Ethernet ports, four 2.5G Ethernet ports, and addressable RGB lighting.

Networking bandwidth reaches theoretical maximums up to 25,000 Mbps on the GT-BE98 model. For even faster potential throughputs, ASUS also revealed the GT-BE98 Pro variant at Gamescom 2022, capable of up to 30,000 Mbps speeds.

Powering these bleeding-edge networking speeds is support for the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard on the 6GHz band. This provides less interference and more available wireless channels than Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6. Combine this with 1024-QAM modulation, 4K QAM, and 4096-QAM on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and you have a formula for groundbreaking multi-gig performance.

According to ASUS, the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 series also features a 4×4 antenna design to unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 7. An integrated USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port allows convenient local storage expansion for media servers and backups.

For PC and console gamers seeking the absolute best in low-latency wireless connectivity, the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 lineup looks poised to deliver. Gizmoweek’s know complete specs and pricing soon as pre-sales kick off later this month. Until then, enthusiasts can drool over the promise of Wi-Fi 7 and 30Gbps speeds.
