Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Leak: A Familiar Design but Upgraded Internals

A recent leak from UniverseIce has revealed details about the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, and it appears that Samsung has opted for a similar design to its predecessor, the Tab S8 Ultra. However, the internals have been upgraded, making the new device even more powerful.

Design and Dimensions

The body size of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm, which is the same as the Tab S8 Ultra. This means the overall design, including the frame, remains unchanged. That being said, the weight has increased slightly by 11g, bringing it up to 737g.

Display

The Tab S9 Ultra features a 14.6-inch display with a resolution of 2960×1848. It also boasts monster-level support for 120% DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring vibrant and accurate colors. This is consistent with the display specifications of the previous generation.

Battery and Charging

Samsung has equipped the Tab S9 Ultra with an 11,200mAh battery, which should provide ample power for extended use. As for charging, the device supports 45W fast charging.

Performance

The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 for Galaxy processor, which promises top-tier performance. Additionally, the device is packed with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and overall system responsiveness.
improvement over the previous gen is that the Tab S9 series now supports IP68 waterproof and dustproof ratings, means users can confidently use their device in various environments without worrying about potential damage from water or dust.

Final Thoughts

While the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra design remains mostly unchanged, the upgraded internals and added durability features make it an attractive option for users seeking a high-performance tablet. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to learn more about pricing and availability, but Samsung fans can rest assured that the company continues to push the envelope with its latest tablet offerings.
