Hold onto your hats, pixel fans, because Google has just announced its first-ever foldable phone: Pixel Fold. Exciting news from @MadebyGoogle official account is set to be released at the upcoming Google I/O conference on May 10th.
In a sneak peek offered by the official “Made by Google” Twitter account, we can see the full design of the Pixel Fold. The back of the phone is in keeping with the Pixel series’ sleek and minimalist design language, while the camera features a strip-shaped protrusion and three cameras.
But the real star of the show is the Pixel Fold’s folding screen. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, the Pixel Fold features a horizontal folding design and is equipped with a 5.8-inch external screen and a 7.6-inch folding display. Both screens boast a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth and seamless transitions between apps and menus.
Pixel fans have a lot to look forward to in 2023, with the Pixel portfolio expanding to include not only the Pixel Fold but also the Pixel Tablet. So, mark your calendars for May 10th and get ready to feast your eyes on Google’s latest. Gizmoweek’s can’t wait to see how it stacks up against the competition.
