Nintendo set to launch its new Switch 2 console in Q1 2024? according to a recent report from financial website MoneyDJ, the new Switch 2 is expected to see increased demand in December 2023, leading up to its launch.
Game studio in Spain has received the development kit for the next-generation Switch console (Next-gen Switch Console Nintendo Development Kit Leaked to Spanish Game Studio).
Metal casing manufacturer Foxconn Technology Group’s subsidiary, Hongzhun Precision Industrial Co., is expected to benefit from this launch, as all three of its major businesses showed improvement in June compared to May. The company’s operations are expected to warm up throughout the second half of the year, with revenue and profit expected to return to a growth trajectory. With the new Switch launch, Hongzhun’s gaming console assembly business is expected to see an increase in deliveries starting in December of this year.
But what can we expect from the new Switch 2? Previous leaks Nintendo Switch 2 leaked specs info, Allows ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS, feature a custom Tegra T239 processor, with multiple CPU and GPU clock speed configurations available to developers. The console will have a peak power output of 28.6W when plugged in and 11W in portable mode. Along with this, the Switch 2 will feature a 720P OLED screen with support for 24gbps HDMI 2.1, 10-bit HDR, and 4K60 output, but not 120Hz refresh rate. Storage-wise, the console will come with 256GB of UHS-II storage, with read and write speeds similar to the Samsung S22.
The custom Tegra T239 chip used in the Switch 2 is fully backwards compatible and will be paired with an Ampere-based GPU, enabling ray tracing and Nvidia’s DLSS technology. This means that the new Switch will be able to provide a more immersive and realistic gaming experience, allowing gamers to fully immerse themselves in the game.
