What’s New with Xiaomi’s Latest 7-inch eBook Reader?

Xiaomi has just released their latest e-reader, Xiaomi 7-inch eBook, and it’s packed with some exciting new features for bookworms. With its E Ink Carta 1200 display and 300PPI pixel density, this e-reader aims to make reading feel smoother and clearer than ever before. What exactly does the 7-inch eBook bring to the table?

First off, the display utilizes a balanced refresh mode that intelligently switches between text and images to optimize refresh rates. So you’ll get crisper page turns when reading, but smoother image quality when looking at illustrations or photos in a book. Pretty neat right?

Processing power also got an upgrade with a quad-core RK3566 processor and 2GB of RAM, which should result in faster performance compared to previous Xiaomi e-readers. And with 64GB of storage space, you’ll have plenty of room for books without needing expandable memory.

The 7-inch eBook runs on Android 11 and comes preloaded with various reading apps tailored for E Ink displays. So your favorite reading apps will look great on the 7-inch screen. Support for 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 means you can easily buy and download new books wherever you are.

With long battery life, ergonomic physical buttons, and a lightweight design at just 166g, the 7-inch eBook seems optimized for comfortable reading on the go. The official magnetic charging case extends battery life even further, with Xiaomi claiming over 7 weeks of standby time when fully charged.

So if you’re in the market for an e-reader and want the latest E Ink display tech, refreshing modes, and strong performance, the 7-inch eBook could be a great option to consider. Xiaomi looks to be upping their e-reader game.
