Belkin Stand Pro: 360 Degrees Motorized iPhone Dock Follows You Around The Room

Belkin has unveiled an innovative new iPhone dock that can rotate 360 degrees and tilt up and down to follow the user’s movements during video calls or livestreams. Dubbed the Belkin Stand Pro, the motorized dock is priced at $179.99 and is the first product to take advantage of Apple’s new DockKit framework for iPhone docks.

The Belkin Stand Pro features a cylindrical weighted base that rotates a full 360 degrees, with an adjustable arm on top that can tilt up to 90 degrees in any direction. This allows the dock to swivel and angle the iPhone to keep the user in frame at all times, no matter where they move around the room.

To set up the Stand Pro, users simply place their iPhone 12 or newer on the dock and pair via NFC. Once connected, the dock will automatically track the user’s face and body when using any video calling or livestreaming app such as FaceTime, Instagram, TikTok, or Microsoft Teams.

Belkin says the docking experience is seamless, with no need to install a separate app to connect and control the Stand Pro. This is thanks to Apple’s new DockKit software tools that allow third-party docks to pair with the iPhone on a system level.

In addition to its movement tracking features, the Belkin Stand Pro doubles as a 15W wireless charger for the iPhone. There is also a built-in battery that provides up to 5 hours of use on a single charge, or it can be powered by plugging into a 30W power source.

The launch of the Stand Pro comes alongside an upgraded version of Belkin’s existing 3-in-1 BoostCharge Pro dock. The new model brings support for the latest Qi2 wireless charging standard and can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch Series 7 or newer, and AirPods simultaneously.

With its unique ability to follow users around the room, the Belkin Stand Pro aims to provide new levels of convenience and hands-free control for content creators, remote workers, or anyone who spends a lot of time on video calls. The dock is available for pre-order now for $179.99.
