Xiaomi has unveiled its latest router, the AX3000T, which is one of the company’s first devices to support the next-generation Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard.
The router is now available for pre-order in China, ahead of an official launch. Xiaomi claims the AX3000T can achieve speeds up to 3000Mbps on the 5GHz band when using 160MHz channels.
AX3000T features a MediaTek Filogic 820 processor and 256MB of memory. It supports 160MHz bandwidth and has a 5GHz maximum speed of 2402Mbps, according to Xiaomi.
The router has a “2+1” 5GHz antenna configuration, which Xiaomi says boosts signal strength compared to typical tri-band AX3000 routers. There are also four gigabit LAN ports for wired connections.
Additional features include dual-WAN support for combining two network connections, online device management, and customizable parental controls.
As one of the cheap Wi-Fi 6 routers from Xiaomi, the AX3000T provides an affordable option for users looking to upgrade their home wireless connectivity. Key benefits of Wi-Fi 6 include faster peak speeds, better performance in dense environments, and improved power efficiency.
Xiaomi AX3000T will help drive the Wi-Fi 6 standard into more homes, especially in price-sensitive markets.
