Huawei Achieves New Wi-Fi 7 Speed Record Beyond 13Gbps, 4.33Gbps Single-Device Result Marks

Huawei recently completed industry-first performance testing of its Wi-Fi 7 access point, setting new records for the next-generation wireless standard. Conducted at Tolly Group’s lab in the US, the tests demonstrated blazing throughput up to 13.25Gbps total and 4.33Gbps for a single device.

Huawei’s AirEngine 8771-X1T Wi-Fi 7 AP leverages the new 6GHz band plus other advances like 320MHz bandwidth and 4096-QAM modulation to hit unprecedented speeds, 4.33Gbps single-device result marks the fastest real-world Wi-Fi throughput tested to date according to Tolly.

With its dynamic zoom antenna array and support for 12 spatial streams, the 8771-X1T alcanzes a total air interface rate of up to 18.67Gbps. Tolly confirmed an overall Wi-Fi 7 performance exceeding 13Gbps in their controlled testing environment.

Latency measured just 2 milliseconds at times – a 50% reduction compared to Wi-Fi 6 that brings near real-time responsiveness, Huawei advances in software and hardware integration are enabling this generational leap in Wi-Fi speeds.

Huawei has achieved “the fastest real-world Wi-Fi performance ever tested.” The new records highlight Wi-Fi 7’s potential to unlock new capabilities for high-density venues and next-gen consumer devices.

With over 2.4X the maximum theoretical throughput of Wi-Fi 6, the Wi-Fi 7 standard sets the stage for new applications requiring ultra-high bandwidth and low latency. Huawei’s testing provides an early glimpse of the dramatic gains ahead.

As device manufacturers gear up for Wi-Fi 7 router rollouts, Xiaomi launched Router 6500 Pro wifi 7 router, One thing is clear – the Wi-Fi speed ceiling continues drifting higher.
