Xiaomi Launches Blazing Fast Wi-Fi 7 Router 6500 Pro with 6500 Mbps Speeds

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest and greatest Wi-Fi router Xiaomi Router 6500 Pro, which is one of the first consumer routers to support the new Wi-Fi 7 wireless standard, priced at 699 RMB in China, router delivers exceptionally fast wireless speeds up to a blistering 6500 Mbps.

In February at MWC2023, Xiaomi has showcased a WiFi 7 router, model Xiaomi Router 7000, powerful Qualcomm A73 1.5GHz architecture IPQ 9554 processor, 2.4GHz reach up to 1147.1 Mbps, while its 5G transmission rate can reach up to 5764.8 Mbps. Router 6500 Pro key to the router’s insane wireless throughput is support for Wi-Fi 7 and its cutting-edge features, Wi-Fi 7 utilizes wider 160 MHz channels and 4K QAM modulation to dramatically boost bandwidth and speed over previous Wi-Fi generations.

Xiaomi outfitted the router with a high-end Qualcomm platform A53 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, advanced hardware unlocks the full capabilities of Wi-Fi 7 technologies like 160MHz channels and 4×4 MIMO for up to 4 simultaneous data streams.

Xiaomi Router 6500 Pro

With theoretical speeds reaching 6500 Mbps, the Xiaomi Router 6500 Pro provides plenty of wireless bandwidth for everything from 8K video streaming to VR gaming. Multiple Wi-Fi 7 devices can achieve speeds well over 1 Gbps thanks to sophisticated coordination features.

Router also offers excellent wired connectivity with four gigabit ports, including two 2.5G multi-gigabit ports. Link aggregation allows combining ports for speeds up to 5Gbps. There’s also dual-WAN support for using two broadband connections simultaneously.

An array of six hidden omnidirectional antennas ensures strong 360 degree Wi-Fi coverage throughout homes and offices. Advanced Beamforming focuses wireless signals towards clients for faster and more reliable connections, support for new BSS coloring improves network efficiency.

Setting up the router is a breeze with Xiaomi’s app for Android and iOS devices. Users can easily monitor connected devices, prioritize traffic, set parental controls, and tweak settings, voice controls are also supported when paired with Xiaomi’s AI assistant.

With its cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 support and blistering 6500 Mbps network speeds, the Xiaomi Router 6500 Pro looks to be the new gold standard for premium wireless routers. Early adopters will enjoy lightning fast gaming, streaming, and downloads as Wi-Fi 7 devices begin hitting the market.
